It really isn't clear on how to submit our projects. We did NOT have instructions in the handouts we received. I think a post would help all of us who took your class. I have a few ideas on what to do, but am very unsure myself.

This may sound silly, but I've spent hours on my project, and have not accomplished a thing! I've been "researching" by familiarizing myself with Classroom 2.0, twitter, and a ton of other sites. The more I find, the less I know. It sounds contrary, but there is SO MUCH out there to see and learn!

I totally agree with you. I have researched every day since our class and spent many hours. I just think I get something figured out, and then I find there is so much more that I don't know.

I'm there with you, Laurie and Sheri! I have spend hours just "digging" around on here, visiting the suggested websites, signing up on Twitter, Classroom 2.0, etc. I am considering setting up a blog and just blogging all of my information. Not sure if that would work or not. I have discussed this with a few friends and one of them is just documenting everything that she is doing and will put it into a MSWorks doc. and submit it in the end. Not sure exactly where she will submit it, but I know that is her plan. Like I said, just wondering if we could blog it....that would get us familiar with blogging, too!!!!

We posted on the Front Page, but we will also add something here. As part of our credits we made a little cheat sheet to help us understand some of the technology that Angela used that day. We don't really know how to attach a document so I am cutting and pasting. When all else fails...go old school:)
Blog (www.blogger.com): In simple terms, a blog is a web site, where you write stuff on an ongoing basis. New stuff shows up at the top, so your visitors can read what's new. Then they comment on it or link to it or email you. Or not.

Mash-ups (webmashup.com): A web mashup is a website or web application that uses content from more than one source to create a completely new service.

Podcast (www.goggle.com): distribute (multimedia files) over the internet for playback on a mobile device or a personal computer

Twitter (twitter.com): Twitter is a free social messaging utility for staying connected in real-time.

Web 2.0 or ReadWriteWeb (revised from wikipedia.com): refers to what is perceived as a second generation of web development and web design. It is characterized as facilitating communication, information sharing, User-centered design and collaboration on the World Wide Web. It has led to the development and evolution of web-based communities, hosted services, and web applications.

Wiki (wiki.com): A wiki is a database of pages which visitors can edit live."
The building blocks of wikis are the "comments" from visitors.
You can generally edit a page in real time, search the wiki's content, and view updates since your last visit. In a "moderated wiki," wiki owners review comments before addition to the main body of a topic.

I too am unsure how to post what we have a complished but I encourage you to jump right in. I jumped right into twitter with some hesitations at first on how to find followers but have had great success with it and have found valuable ideas from others. I did feel "dumb" at first but have used it enough now to better understand the dynamics of it -with more learning to come. Once you start blogging too, you will love it. I suggest starting with one thing you want to try and go for it. You will learn on the way. As one of my twitted friends told me, "jump right in and let people get to know you. They will help you along the way.". So true.

Sheri, "twitted" would be a type-o on my iTouch. It was suppose to be twitter but my itouch changes it everytime I type it as it thinks it is spelled wrong. The joys of technology. :). Anyway, I am not sure why you can't find me on Twitter. My twitter address is http://twitter.com/kkerianteacher. Try that. If that doesn't work, let me know your twitter and I will find you. You can find teachers to follow by going to twitter4teachers.com and clicking on teachers you want to follow. I am on that list also towards the bottom. That is a great resource. Let me know how it goes and I will check the settings on my twitter account. Good luck!

Started using twitter myself. I have made a personal account but not sure if I would use it that much but made one for our school. I am the tech coordinator and we are starting a one 2 one laptop initiative and I have made a twitter page updating the staff, students and community of our progress. Check it out and tell me your thoughts. https://twitter.com/BulldogOne2One I am trying to do several new things for my 1 grad hour but I am so busy with getting everything ready I do not know how I will find the time. I plan to try to find those of you who are posting on twiiter.

Appreciate the community of learning going on here. Thanks for you patience and collaborative spirit. Love the idea of creating your own pages for projects. You can also link to blogs or wiki pages you've created elsewhere, upload docs or link to web20-type areas you might have created elsewehre. We'll do our best to answer your questions individually (though what a great job of co-learning/teaching here!)

So far, we have @BulldogOne2One, @FogartyS, @kkerianteacher who else is on Twitter? The user name appears in the url after the slash (e.g. http://www.twitter.com/angelamaiers) and when talking with (or "at") on twitter, place the "@" sign immediately before the user name (e.g. @angelamaiers). BTW, I'm "mikesansone" on Twitter
